March was a long month! It seemed to keep going on and has been jam-packed with things to do. It started out with me coming home from Florida and is ending with me completely exhausted after finishing my first Easter prep on staff at a Church. All the things that go on behind the scenes to make Easter services happen astound me. I’m also looking forward to the end of the semester (34 days, but who’s counting?) coming bringing with it Summer break. With March feeling like it has gone on forever, there are quite a few things that became bright spots in my day.
Pela Phone Case in Rose Quartz – This is probably my favorite phone case that I have ever had. It is super cute, very protective (surviving my clumsy hands), and not to mention it is 100% compostable. It’s made from a plant-based material and even comes in no plastic packaging. I’ve been trying to be more intentional about my impact on the Earth and this is one way to reduce the amount of plastic littering the Earth’s surface.
The book Love Does by Bob Goff – It’s safe to say I’m not one for “reading for fun.” My attention span doesn’t always allow for me to sit down long enough to read a book. Not to mention, with school and work there’s not much free time where I want to read. However, I’ve decided to start reading Love Does and I am LOVING it. It tells stories of the author’s life and how he has seen love in action. I read a chapter or two every night before bed (which is better than staring at my phone screen right before bed) and I’m left wanting more. It’s relatable and funny but opens your eyes to see how God’s love works and how we should show that love to others. I would recommend this book to anyone, and I’m not even finished yet.
Jergens Natural Glow – It’s no exaggeration that I am ghostly white. I am very pale, every foundation that I use is very close to the lightest shade offered, and no matter how many hours I spend in the sun I end up burned and looking like a lobster. I don’t like the idea of tanning beds (no skin cancer for me, please) so tanning lotion is my perfect alternative. I put on Jergens Natural Glow after my shower every night and within two weeks I can already see a noticeable difference. Even my sister has said, “you’re arms are looking really tan.” It’s easy to use and results are seen quickly.
Cadbury Creme Eggs – An Easter classic, in my opinion. They’re only out two times a year in the United States (at Halloween they’re called Screme Eggs) and I absolutely love them. I can only eat one a day at the most because they’re SO sugary, but I do love them.
Carmex Comfort Care Colloidal Oatmeal Lip Balm – As someone who suffers from dry lips 99% of the time, the search for a great lip balm is never-ending. The comfort care from Carmex has been a real winner for me. It smells great, makes my lips feel moisturized for hours, and provides comforting care.
The month ahead I’m already dreading thinking about because I have a feeling it will be a busy one. It’s the home stretch of the semester which means lots of studying, projects, and late nights in the library. I’m going to focus on keeping everything organized and not letting myself take on too much. I really want to make sure school is my priority and not let myself slip up towards the end by forgetting to do things. I hope April is a good month for everyone!
